Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about connecting your account, accessing market data and working with orders. For step-by-step setup, see the quick start page; for details, see the full user guide.
Getting started
What is Phillip Intelligence?
With Phillip Intelligence you connect your Phillip Capital account to a supported AI application, so you can ask the assistant about market data and your portfolio and have it prepare orders for your account.
Before an order is sent to the exchange, you are shown its summary and your explicit approval is required. Phillip Capital applies balance and risk checks on every order, and each step of the process is recorded.
What can I do with Phillip Intelligence?
Everything is requested in a single sentence. Any request that involves an order is summarized first and is never sent without your approval.
| Action | Example message |
|---|---|
| Price and order book depth queries | "How is ASELS doing?" · "Show me the order book depth for GARAN." |
| Market scans | "List today's top-gaining banking stocks." |
| Portfolio, balance and limits | "Summarize my portfolio and available balance." |
| Placing orders | "Buy 100 lots of GARAN at 134.20." |
| Order tracking | "Show my orders for today." |
| Order amendment and cancellation | "Change the price to 133.50." · "Cancel my GARAN order." |
| Conditional orders | "If GARAN drops to 40, sell 100 shares." |
| Protection plan tied to a buy | "Buy 100 shares of GARAN at 45.50; set a Stop Loss at 42 and a Take Profit at 49." |
| Scheduling for the opening or closing auction | "Hold this order for the opening auction." |
| Research and KAP news | "Give me the PhillipMind technical view for ASELS." · "What are GARAN's latest KAP announcements?" |
| Notification preferences and disconnecting | "Turn off KAP notifications." · "Disconnect my account." |
Short selling, mutual fund and warrant transactions, and chained orders linked to another symbol are not offered on this channel.
Can I receive regular summaries automatically?
Yes. If the application you use supports scheduled tasks, you can receive portfolio, balance and order summaries every day at a time you choose. In Claude, open a project and add a task with the plus sign next to the Scheduled heading on the project page; as the prompt, write for example the following and choose the day and time:
The steps and other prompts you can copy are on the quick start page.
A scheduled task does not send orders; an order is transmitted only when you press the Approve button on the card. Your session must be open when the task runs. A session is valid for 24 hours; if it has expired, sign in again.
Which application can I use?
You can use Claude's web, desktop and mobile applications. The order summary is shown in the chat as a separate card. Voice interaction is also available in supported Claude applications.
You can also use the web version of ChatGPT. ChatGPT's voice mode has no access to the account connection. To enter text by voice, use the microphone icon in the written chat.
In command-line tools such as Claude Code and Codex, you can query prices and portfolio information. Preparing and approving orders is not supported in these tools.
How do I connect my account?
First enable the permission in MobilG: from the left menu open Yapay Zeka → Phillip Intelligence → Ayarlar (AI → Phillip Intelligence → Settings) and turn on the "Yapay zekâ ile işlem izni" (AI trading permission) switch. While this switch is off, the assistant cannot act on your account even with the connection in place. The "Claude'a bağlan" and "ChatGPT'ye bağlan" buttons on the same screen take you straight to the setup.
When setting up the connection, enter Phillip Intelligence as the name and https://mcp.phillipcapital.com.tr/mcp as the server address. Do not change the authentication settings the application selects automatically. You do not need to enter a Client ID or Client Secret.
In Claude, use the plus sign in the chat box and open Add connector, then Add custom connector. Enter the connection name and the server address, then press Connect.
In ChatGPT, open Settings > Apps and enable Developer mode. On the Apps page, choose Create MCP App from the Add menu at the top right. Enter the connection name and the server address, and choose OAuth as the authentication method. Accept the warning and press Create.
In both applications you are redirected to the Phillip Capital login screen. Sign in with your account number, your MobilG password and the SMS verification code. A walkthrough with screenshots is on the quick start page.
Where do I enter my password and SMS code?
Enter your password and SMS code only on the Phillip Capital login screen at auth.phillipcapital.com.tr. Do not type this information into the chat; the assistant never asks for your password and cannot see it.
I saw a survey link in the chat. Is it safe?
From time to time we may run a short customer survey. The survey link only arrives at the top of a reply in the chat, as an institutional announcement, and its address always starts with mcp.phillipcapital.com.tr/survey/. We never send survey links by e-mail or SMS.
The page sends you to the Phillip Capital login screen; a survey never asks for a password, SMS code, card or account details. If you see such a question, do not answer it and let us know. You can answer on the card that opens in the chat or on the linked page; each survey can be answered once, and taking part is optional.
What should I write first?
First check the connection and your account details. For example, write:
In the reply, check your account, portfolio and available balance, as well as your trading permissions. The markets you can trade, the permitted order types, the per-order cap and the daily trading limit should also be shown.
To learn what the service can do, you can also ask the following; the assistant lists what you can do, with example messages:
I connected my account but the assistant says it cannot access it.
Even when the connection has been set up, it may not be enabled for the open chat. Enable the Phillip Intelligence connection from the chat's tools menu. If your session is still valid, you do not need to sign in again.
The assistant says I have no permission to trade with AI.
You enable AI trading permission in MobilG with the "Yapay zekâ ile işlem izni" switch on the Yapay Zeka → Phillip Intelligence → Ayarlar screen. There you also set the markets you can trade, the per-order and daily trading limits, and the amount that does not require an extra approval in MobilG. Changes can take up to five minutes to apply; try again afterwards.
How long does my session stay open?
A session is valid for 24 hours. When it expires, you need to sign in again. The warning "Your connection may have expired", or the assistant saying the connector needs to be reconnected, means the session needs to be renewed. No order is sent for the request that failed.
In Claude, tell the assistant "reconnect from here"; a card with a "Reconnect" button appears in the chat. Press it and sign in with your MobilG password and SMS code. If no card appears, Settings → Connectors → Phillip Intelligence → Reconnect does the same job. The card is shown on the quick start page.
The assistant says a feature is not offered on this connection.
Your connection may not yet recognize a feature that was added later. Set up the connection again and retry.
How do I shut down the connection completely?
Write "disconnect me" to the assistant and approve the action it shows. This closes your active sessions and removes the application's access to your account. If you want to use it again, you will need to sign in again. You do not need to disconnect just to end a chat. If you disconnect every day with a scheduled task, your other tasks will not run the next day until you sign in again.
Placing orders
How do I place an order?
State the security you want to trade, the buy or sell side, the quantity and the price. For example, write "Buy 100 shares of GARAN at 134.20 TRY". After its checks, the assistant shows the order summary:
The summary comes with an order card in the chat. For an order below your no-second-approval threshold, you send it by pressing the Approve button on the card; writing "I approve" in the chat does not send the order. For an order above the threshold, you approve the summary in the chat and the order is sent to the exchange after your MobilG approval. The assistant reports acceptance, execution or rejection. A normal order summary is valid for two minutes; once it expires, a new summary must be prepared.
Can an order go out without my approval?
No. The order summary is shown on a card; the order is sent only when you press the Approve button on the card (plus your MobilG approval for high amounts). Your approval applies only to the terms of the order shown; the assistant cannot change an approved summary afterwards.
Which orders also require approval in MobilG?
Orders that exceed the extra-approval threshold you set in MobilG also require MobilG approval. This value appears in the authorization matrix as the "no-second-approval threshold".
First approve the order summary in the chat. The order then appears on the Pending AI Order Approvals (Bekleyen Yapay Zeka Emir Onayları) screen in MobilG. When you press Approve and Send in MobilG, it is sent to the exchange; you do not need to return to the chat.
For these orders the approval window is five minutes and cannot be extended. An order rejected in MobilG is not sent to the exchange.
Instead of a price, can I say "at the best ask"?
Yes. You can reference the best bid, the best ask, the midpoint of the bid and ask, the last trade price, or the lower or upper daily price limit. You can also give an instruction such as "one price tick below the best ask"; the offset can be at most 50 price ticks.
The price is set according to the applicable price tick and the permitted price range. The summary shows the reference price used, along with the time and freshness of the data.
If your data subscription is delayed by 15 minutes, the reference price is also delayed; this is stated in the summary. If you want to trade at a specific limit price, state the price as a number.
Can I place a market order?
Market order permission depends on your authorization settings in MobilG. If you do not have it, the assistant asks you to specify a limit price.
Market orders cannot be used in the opening and closing auctions, or in the VIOP evening session. The assistant tells you the suitable session time. On VIOP, a market order request is converted to the supported "market-to-limit, cancel remainder" order type and sent that way.
Can I sell a stock I do not hold?
Short selling is not available through this connection. Before a sell, the sellable quantity in your account is checked. No order summary is prepared for a request that exceeds the sellable quantity.
Can I sell a stock the same day I bought it?
If gross settlement does not apply, the shares you bought today may be included in your sellable quantity. The figure that counts is the sellable quantity shown in your account.
For shares under gross settlement, the quantity from a buy cannot be sold until settlement completes, and the proceeds of a sell cannot be used before settlement either. A warning about this restriction is shown when you query the security and in the order summary.
Can I approve several orders at once?
Yes. You can approve several order summaries prepared by the assistant together. At most 20 orders are sent in one go; the result of each order is shown separately.
Orders approved as a batch are independent of each other. One order executing does not automatically cancel the others. For Stop Loss and Take Profit conditions tied to a buy order, you can use a protection plan.
Can I place an order outside trading hours?
A day-valid limit order requested "now" before the same day's open is not rejected; with your approval it is scheduled for the opening call phase, and the summary says so. An order placed without scheduling after the day's session has closed is not accepted and is not carried to the next day. To have an order prepared for the next suitable session, you can say "hold it for the opening auction" or "hold it for the closing auction". The approved order waits in the Phillip Capital system and is sent to the exchange when that session begins. On the Equity Market, dispatch times are 09:40:01 for the opening auction and 18:01:01 for the closing auction; on half days the closing dispatch is 12:51:01. On VIOP the opening dispatch is 09:20:01.
A waiting order that has not yet been sent to the exchange does not appear among the orders working on the exchange or in the MobilG order list. When requesting a cancellation, state the dispatch number from the summary.
Orders held for a session are day-valid limit orders. There is no "hold for the closing auction" option on VIOP.
What are the Equity Market trading session hours?
| Time | Status |
|---|---|
| 09:40 – 09:50 | Order collection for the opening auction: limit orders can be placed; permitted cancellations and amendments are allowed. |
| 09:50 – 09:55 | New limit orders, quantity increases and price improvements are allowed; cancellations, quantity reductions and price worsening are not. |
| 09:55 – 10:00 | The opening price is set; no new order, cancellation or amendment requests are accepted. |
| 10:00 – 18:00 | Continuous trading session: limit and market orders, cancellations and amendments. |
| 18:00 – 18:01 | Margin broadcast; no requests are accepted. |
| 18:01 – 18:05 | Order collection for the closing auction: limit orders, cancellations and amendments. |
| 18:05 – 18:10 | The closing price is set and trades execute at the closing price. No new orders or cancellations are accepted through this connection; after 18:08, only quantity reduction is allowed on an existing order. |
| After 18:10 | End of day; no requests are accepted. |
On half days the Equity Market closes at 13:00 and VIOP at 12:40; on the Equity Market, order collection for the closing auction runs 12:51 – 12:55 and there is no evening session. On VIOP, continuous trading hours are 09:30 – 18:10. The 19:00 – 23:00 evening session is available only for eligible contracts and limit orders. Details are in the full user guide.
What is different on VIOP?
The VIOP order amount is calculated with the contract multiplier and shown in the summary. Instead of available cash, the relevant VIOP collateral is checked for the order.
VIOP orders cannot be amended through this connection. To change the price or quantity, cancel the existing order and create a new one. A market order request is sent as "market-to-limit, cancel remainder".
If your account is not enabled for VIOP trading, the order is not accepted. In that case, contact your account representative.
My order summary expired, what should I do?
You cannot approve an expired summary. Repeat your request; the assistant rechecks the data and prepares a new summary. Ordinary order summaries are valid for two minutes; those that require extra approval in MobilG are valid for five minutes.
Conditional orders and protection plans
Can I place a stop loss or take profit order?
Yes. For example, you can say "If GARAN drops to 40 TRY, sell 100 shares" or "Sell GARAN if it falls 3% from its highest price". The conditional order type that fits your request is selected. The supported types are the MobilG Stop Loss (Zarar Kes), Take Profit (Kar Al), Buy the Dip (Düşerken Al), Buy on Rise (Yükselirken Al) and Trailing (Dinamik) orders.
State the buy or sell side, the quantity, the trigger condition and the expiry date. The maximum validity is 30 days. If you do not give a date, the assistant asks for one.
A conditional order waits in the Phillip Capital system and appears on the conditional orders screen in MobilG. On this connection it is available only for equities and ETFs.
Is a conditional order guaranteed to execute?
No. When the condition is met, the balance, position and risk checks are run again; an order that passes is sent to the exchange. The trigger price is not the execution price. If the price jumps past this level, the order may execute at a different price or not at all. A stop loss order does not guarantee that your loss is capped at a specific amount.
Can I amend a conditional order?
Conditional orders cannot be amended on this connection. To change one, cancel the existing order and create a new one. You can see the waiting orders by saying "show my conditional orders". Before a cancellation, the assistant shows the order in question and asks for your approval.
Creating the same conditional order a second time is not blocked automatically. Before approving a new order, check the list of waiting orders you are shown.
Why can't I set up a high-value conditional order?
Extra MobilG approval is not supported for conditional orders created through this connection. For this reason, a conditional order above the extra-approval threshold cannot be created here. You can create the order in MobilG, or size it to stay within the permitted threshold.
What is a protection plan?
With a protection plan you define a buy order together with the Stop Loss and Take Profit conditions that activate once that buy executes. For example: "Buy 100 shares of GARAN at 45.50 TRY. If the buy executes, set a Stop Loss condition at 42 TRY and a Take Profit at 49 TRY. Keep the plan valid until September 30."
As the buy order executes partially or in full, Stop Loss and Take Profit conditions are created for the executed quantity. When one condition triggers, the other is cancelled. You can update the plan by saying "Raise the stop loss level to 43 TRY". A "cancel the plan" request removes the waiting protection conditions; it does not cancel the buy order.
A protection plan can be created only for equity buy orders.
How does the sell in a protection plan execute?
In the default protection sell, a market order is used when the condition triggers. The level you give is the trigger condition for the sell; it is not a guaranteed sell price. Depending on the quantities and prices on the other side of the book, the order may execute at several prices, partially, or not at all.
When setting trigger levels, keep in mind that levels close to the buy price can trigger quickly. If you want the sell sent as a limit order, also state the limit price. Before creating simultaneous plans on the same stock, check your open plans.
Can I place an order tied to the time of day or another stock?
On this connection, a condition can be tied only to the price of the stock being traded. The time of day, another stock's price, or the outcome of an unrelated order cannot be used as a condition. A protection plan tied to a buy executing is supported separately.
Order tracking, amendment and cancellation
How do I see my orders?
Say "show my orders" to list the orders you placed through this connection. You can ask for open orders only, or for all of them. At most 20 orders are shown in one reply. In amendment and cancellation requests, state the order number from the list.
To learn the status of a specific order, ask "what is its status?" together with the order number. Stages such as acceptance, partial execution, amendment and cancellation are shown with their times where available.
To see the open orders you placed through MobilG or a branch, you can say "show my working orders at the brokerage". These orders are view-only here; make amendments and cancellations through the channel where you placed them.
How do I amend my order?
State the order you want to change and the new terms. For example, you can say "Change my GARAN buy order to a price of 133.50 TRY and a quantity of 50 shares". The assistant shows the amendment summary and asks for your approval.
An amendment first requires your approval in the chat. If an amendment that increases the order amount or the risk exceeds the extra-approval threshold, MobilG approval is also required.
VIOP orders cannot be amended through this connection. You cannot change orders that originated in MobilG or at a branch here. Orders placed through this connection cannot be amended in MobilG; eligible ones can be cancelled from MobilG.
How do I cancel my order?
You can say "Cancel my GARAN order". The assistant shows the order to be cancelled and asks for your approval. When you say "Cancel all the open orders I placed through this connection", you can review the list and approve the batch cancellation. Cancellation is requested for at most 50 orders per request.
Because the Equity Market is closed before 09:40 and after 18:10, a cancellation request is not sent to the exchange then. In the 09:50 – 10:00, 18:00 – 18:01 and 18:05 – 18:10 windows the exchange does not accept cancellations; the request is rejected and the order stays open. On VIOP, cancellation is also possible between 07:30 – 09:20 and 18:10 – 18:55.
Can I cancel an order I placed in MobilG from here?
Through this connection you can change or cancel only the orders created here. Cancel an order placed in MobilG through MobilG.
When is a cancellation request accepted?
Reaching the request limit for new orders, or a suspension of AI trading, does not prevent you from requesting cancellation of the open orders you placed through this connection. Whether the cancellation goes through depends on the order still being open and the current session allowing cancellations.
I got the warning "The result of the operation is being verified". Should I resend the order?
Do not resend the same request; the first order may already have been sent. Query its status with the order number, or check again after a short while.
Prices and information
Are the prices real-time?
Depending on your market data permission, prices are either real-time or delayed by 15 minutes. Every reply states the data type and a timestamp.
If you use delayed data, the current day's delayed price may not yet exist in the first minutes of the session. Limit order requests where you state the price explicitly are not affected by a missing reference price.
Does the assistant get prices from the internet?
The price, price change, volume, and lower and upper daily price limit information provided through this connection comes from Phillip Capital market data. Check the data source and time stated in the price reply.
Why is the last trade price missing?
If the opening auction is in progress, or no trade has happened yet in that stock, there may be no last trade price. The price field is updated once data exists; until then, other information such as the lower and upper daily price limits may be shown.
Why can't I query many stocks at once?
A single price query can include at most five stocks. At most 60 different stocks can be queried individually within five minutes. For wider lists, indices or the day's top gainers, ask for a market scan; a scan can show at most 100 stocks per reply. The price query limit does not affect your order and cancellation permissions.
What do I see if I ask for "details" on an order summary?
When you ask for "details", you can see the stock's KAP announcement headlines and, where available, the dated PhillipMind technical assessment. The technical assessment may include support and resistance levels. If a Phillip Capital research report exists, you can say "show the detailed report". Reviewing these does not approve the order on your behalf.
If you do not want this content shown with order summaries, you can say "do not show announcements and research in order reviews". Your preference is saved to your account.
Is the information the assistant provides investment advice?
Market data, KAP announcements, research content and the assistant's analysis of them are provided for information and assessment purposes; they should not be treated as personalized investment advisory services. The assistant may interpret several sources together. You decide which trades to make, and you approve the order terms yourself.
Permissions, limits and security
Where are my limits defined?
You manage your permissions in the authorization settings in MobilG (Yetki Ayarları): the markets you can trade, the order types, the per-order and daily trading limits, and the amount that does not require extra MobilG approval. These preferences cannot exceed the brokerage's risk limits. Changes can take up to five minutes to apply. Query the current settings by saying "check my connection status".
How is the daily limit calculated?
The daily trading limit is consumed by the executed amount. The estimated amount of open orders is temporarily set aside from the available limit until execution or cancellation is settled. When an order is cancelled or rejected by the exchange, the unexecuted amount becomes available again immediately; the unexecuted part of an order that expires at end of day becomes available at that moment. You can see the used and remaining amounts in the connection status reply.
The daily limit indicator in MobilG may not show the amount set aside for open orders, so it can differ from the available amount the assistant reports. In this service, orders created after a conditional order triggers are not deducted from the daily AI trading limit.
How many orders can I place per minute?
The default limit is 10 new orders per minute and at most 3 orders per 10 seconds. At most 10 orders can be awaiting a result at the same time. Amendment and cancellation requests have separate limits. Different limits may be defined for your account.
If you reach the limit, the assistant tells you how long to wait.
What is recorded?
Price queries and the summary, approval, dispatch and result records of the order process are stored with their times. The connection's network address is recorded when an order is dispatched; if the required address information cannot be obtained, the order is not sent. The account number is masked in replies.
What happens if AI trading on my account is suspended?
If unusual order traffic is detected on your account, Phillip Capital may suspend the placing of new orders via AI. Cancellation can still be requested for the open orders placed through this connection. For details, contact your account representative.
What should I provide if I run into a problem?
Send the support team the full text of the error message, the 12-digit reference code if there is one, and the time of the event. This information makes it easier to find the relevant transaction record.
